Regina Tonia Smith

TRX, Total Barre, Personal Trainer and Pilates Instructor

Regina Smith is our lead personal trainer on staff at Energy Fitness Bahamas. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Dance Pedagogy with a minor in exercise science and an MBA from Palm Beach Atlantic University. While in university she served as Building Manager, Personal Training Lead and Program Developer at the PBAU Campus Recreation Department coordination notable events such as The Strongman Competition, The Fire Fighter Competition, Get Well Be Well Fitness Initiatives. While in university she also served as a volunteer lead trainer with the Cancer Survivor Clinic Exercise Program spear headed by Dr. Steven Sylvester. Regina is a certified personal trainer. She also holds certifications is TRX, Stott Pilates, Total Barre Fitness. Regina has successfully completed continuing education credits from the National Academy of Sports Medicine and Stott Pilates in Weight Loss Management and Senior Fitness and Special Populations (Injury and Rehabilitation) respectively. She currently writes a monthly fitness column for the Bahamas Leading Newspaper, the Tribune Weekend. She has a powerful personal story and when she's not sharing that to impact the lives of others, she loves sharing her passion for health and fitness. As a fitness coach her personal motto is: "People really don't care how much you know; until they know how much you care. My purpose with every client is to meet them where they are at to design programs and plan that are safe and effective in helping them reach their goals. With every client that's different, and that is how I learn and grow. That's what keeps me passionate about my career as a fitness professional."

 

Tyrone-Antonio Weech

Yoga Instructor

Tyrone-Antonio Weech was born and raised in Nassau, Bahamas. After graduating High school in 2006, he attended Le Cordon Bleu where he received his degree in Culinary Arts. Furthering his studies, he attended Miami Dade College and obtained a degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management. In spring of 2015, Tyrone-Antonio attend a yoga workshop held by Mychal Bryan; this is where his yoga journey began. Shortly after the yoga workshop Tyrone-Antonio became apart of the Downtown Yoga Festival, as the Social Media Coordinator. At the end of 2015 Tyrone-Antonio obtained his yoga instructor certification. When asked what he loves most about teaching yoga Tyrone- Antonio explains, “The thing that I love about teaching yoga is the way my students feel after every class. It’s always a positive response. Yoga has changed my life because it’s an outlet to relive stress and get out of my head for a minute”

 

Ashby Hamilton

TRX Instructor 

Ashby has  been involved with athletics his entire life. He has played multiple sports competitively and has  developed a real passion for fitness and hopes to use his knowledge and experience to help others reach their fitness goals.
